writing is safer, somehow because my pen cannot stutter like my lips do, and words get stuck in throats, not fingertips, can’t stumble on paper trails of blue lines because writing is definite and clear and no one can tell if i am crying or laughing through written words alone
so are we gonna discuss how fucked up it is that women have to wear makeup to be taken seriously at work and job interviews but if a woman has a genuine interest in and enjoyment of cosmetics she is written off as shallow, vain, and stupid, and consequently not taken seriously
neither of these things are true. a bare face doesn’t make you less professional in any way, and who is able to tell the difference most of the time? and also, a professional make up artist or a make up collector is just that. nobody is sitting there calling you vain, shallow, or stupid. make up is just another form of art… your face being the canvas.
dude the whole POINT of this post is that a lack of makeup doesn’t make you unprofessional but people still act like it is
